Cannabis hemp is believed to be the first plant cultivated on earth, and its fibers were the first to be woven into fabric. Hemp industries first appeared in Europe and China nearly 10,000 years ago, and until the late 1800s hemp remained the world’s largest agricultural crop.

Hemp fiber is the strongest, most durable and versatile natural fiber known to mankind. Prior to the 1900s the great majority of the world’s population wore at least some hemp clothing, ranging from hats to footwear.
